Having an on-line presence is all very well but it’s the fairs that do it for us and if it wasn’t for fairs we probably wouldn’t be trading at all! It’s that face to face experience and getting to know people; they start off as customers and become good friends.
Stallholders are in general a very friendly crowd but some hide it quite well, we are all of in the same boat, moaning about the same things! Many are more than willing to share their knowledge and experience and they get to know what sort of items you are looking for.
Some stallholders that we have met have become lifelong friends, something that we are very grateful for.
